[SOLVED] Removing package with dependencies

Hi all,

when I try to update my AUR packages with:

$ aurman -Su --always_edit --show_changes --solution_way

I get this:

:: Starting full system upgrade...
 there is nothing to do

~~ initializing aurman...
~~ the following packages are neither in known repos nor in the aur
:: spl-utils-0.7.11-1
:: dkms-sorted-2.5-2
~~ calculating solutions...
:: nothing to do... everything is up to date

So when I try to remove one of these single packages I get a dependency error:

$ aurman -R dkms-sorted

checking dependencies...
error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
:: nvidia-dkms: removing dkms-sorted breaks dependency 'dkms'
:: spl-dkms: removing dkms-sorted breaks dependency 'dkms'
:: vhba-module-dkms: removing dkms-sorted breaks dependency 'dkms'
:: virtualbox-host-dkms: removing dkms-sorted breaks dependency 'dkms'
:: zfs-dkms: removing dkms-sorted breaks dependency 'dkms'

But it works like this:

$ aurman -Rc dkms-sorted
checking dependencies...

Packages (12) cdemu-client-3.2.0-1  cdemu-daemon-3.2.1-1  kde-cdemu-manager-0.7.3-3  nvidia-dkms-410.66-3  spl-dkms-0.7.11-1
              vhba-module-dkms-20170610-109  virtualbox-5.2.20-1  virtualbox-ext-oracle-5.2.20-1
              virtualbox-host-dkms-5.2.20-1  zfs-dkms-0.7.11-2  znapzend-0.19.0-1  dkms-sorted-2.5-2

Total Removed Size:  167.64 MiB

:: Do you want to remove these packages? [Y/n] n

My problem is that I need all other packages except spl-dkms-0.7.11-1.

Do I really have to remove them first this way and reinstall them or is there another shorter way?

Re: [SOLVED] Removing package with dependencies

You have to install something that provides DKMS, likely the dkms package from the repos.
