Hello, Ive just installed the nvidia drivers and tried loading X-plane 11, but it gives me this error:
X Error of failed request: BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation)
Major opcode of failed request: 151 (GLX)
Minor opcode of failed request: 3 (X_GLXCreateContext)
Value in failed request: 0x0
Serial number of failed request: 30
Current serial number in output stream: 31
I also tried playing Assault cube, but it gives me the same error. Does anyone know why its doing this? Any help would be appreciated.

Please edit your post and wrap the lspci output in "code" tags.
The glx module is loaded, it's single VGA system.
/etc/X11/xorg.conf is probably a static config written by nvidia-xconfig? Please move it away for the moment (and actually you should not be using static server configs unless you really know why)
Let's see what libs are resolved:

I moved the xorg.conf file out and I tried
strace glxinfo 2>&1 | grep open | grep -i gl
but it didn't come back with anything. There was also a xorg.conf.d file and I wasn't sure if I was supposed to move that also.

Oops, my bad, I didnt have it installed. I tried both of the strace commands and both of them returned with

Looks all good and glxinfo likely prints a useful info about your GPU?
In that case and if only certain games are affected, it's most likely a lib32 issue as suggested by Lofenyy.

I tried a few other games as well as "glxinfo" and they all gave me the same error. The only game that I found to work was gnome-robots. Maybe I could also try re-installing the drivers? (I also changed my video card, because this is just such a great time to do it)

I'm seeing the same error after installing nvidia packages on my Thinkpad X1 Extreme Gen 2. I have the following nvidia packages installed:

NVIDIA drivers utilities
Removing the nvida and nvida-utils enables glx to work but I'm hoping to use the nvidia driver with optimus-manager so wondering if there is a way to get GLX working with the nvidia driver and utils.
From glxinfo with nvidia and nvidia-utils installed:

Please don't necrobump old threads, open up a new one and link back here if you feel it to be relevant, look at https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/NV … us-manager
You need to install optimus-manager first, as it will contain configurations to properly enable your graphics card and link the correct GLX
