I am using fusuma to track 3 finger swipe gestures to change workspaces. When swiping with terminal window open, it first triggers a ‘C’ or ‘D’ character in the terminal window. The tracking is done using xdotool where a left swipe is mapped to xdotool key ctrl+alt+Left and similar for right.
So inorder to test what the xdotool commands did, i manually executed xdotool key ctrl+alt+Left in gnome terminal and found that it triggers a ‘D’ key and xdotool key ctrl+alt+Right triggers a ‘C’ key, leading to the issue. Check the image below:
What could be causing this? And what is the solution for this issue?
I’m currently running gnome with Xserver with an ETPS/2 Elantech Touchpad device using libinput driver.
