Popping sounds while playing audio using headphones

Hi everyone,

I installed Arch Linux on my Lenovo X1 Carbon 6th Gen and am having some issues with sound playback. Namely when I'm using headphones and listening to a video, I hear constant popping. The popping/crackling seems to occur when the video starts and stops (and intermittently in between when the video goes quiet for a few milliseconds). This does not seem to happen when I listen using speakers!

I've tried a lot of things in terms of the known fixes:

- `load-module module-udev-detect tsched=0` in `/etc/pulse/default.pa`

- `options snd_hda_intel vid=8086 pid=8ca0 snoop=0` in `/etc/modprobe.d/sound.conf`

- `options snd_hda_intel power_save=0 power_save_controller=N`

If anyone has experienced and solved similar issues, or has any clues for what I can try next I would be really grateful!

Also, while the sound is playing I can hear some slight static/crackling in the background.

+1 having the same problem, also on X1 Carbon.

Tried similar methods but nothing seemed to work.

What I noticed though is that the pop sound sometimes just stops when playing music for a longer period of time.
