[SOLVED] Booting Deepin messed up my KDE DPI scaling

I wanted to try Deepin, which did not boot correctly. So I went back to KDE and my desktop looks like this:

https://ibb.co/qFSTtNx

Changing the DPI scaling in KDE settings doesn't change anything. I also tried deleting the .kde4 folder. It must be some overall system settings. Does anyone have an idea how I can revert this?

Re: [SOLVED] Booting Deepin messed up my KDE DPI scaling

Check "fc-conflist", iirc budgie dumps some random config junk into your $HOME, deepin probably does the same.

Re: [SOLVED] Booting Deepin messed up my KDE DPI scaling

@jasonwryan: Sorry I thought it was okay, since I used a hoster.

@seth: This is my output of fc-conflist. What am I supposed to see here? I btw tried to remove the .config folder as well with no luck.

/home/jan/.config/fontconfig/conf.d/99-deepin.conf: No description

?
Maybe also

/home/jan/.config/fontconfig/fonts.conf: No description

Re: [SOLVED] Booting Deepin messed up my KDE DPI scaling

I don't understand the xml very well, but as far as I understand it only configures font types. I also tried renaming the fontconfig folder and rebooting. No changes! And since even renaming the whole .config folder did not change anything, I doubt that the settings are in there, but I don't want to delete all config files just yet... Someone seems to have had the same problem here https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/90 … messed-up/. I created a new user to check if it is only my account is affected. With the other account everything is alright, so it must be in the home folder somewhere.

Re: [SOLVED] Booting Deepin messed up my KDE DPI scaling

I reproduced the error on anoter account and tried deleting files and log in and out several times. I found the responsible file it is called .pam_environment and I am very sure the responsible line was QT_SCALE_FACTOR. After deleting the file KDE looked normal again. Firefox was still having too big tabs and fonts, so I just deleted the .mozilla folder. Everything is back to normal now. It is really a problem that different DE mess up configurations. Is there a way to have seperate config files for different DEs or is creating a new user the only way?

QT_SCALE_FACTOR=1.50
_JAVA_OPTIONS= -Dswt.autoScale=150
