I have theoretical question. I'm going to be doing some travelling to not so safe places and have to prepare to lose my laptop and stuff. I always liked the idea of disposable computer, e.g. ssh to a remote server - but it's not practical for me unfortunately. What caught my eye is installing the whole system to a usb stick.
My plan would be to:
1. Do a normal installation to the internal drive, the whole filesystem will be encrypted, and the /home partition will be included in the filesystem (everything on one partition).
2. Use the computer as normal
3. Copy the whole partition to a usb stick and make it bootable. Make rsync backups from time to time,
4. In case I lose my laptop, I can plug the stick to a different computer and don't have the hassle of configuring everything again
Would that work?
