Hi,
I'm facing an issue with the new SD card my GF bought recently. When I plug it into my card reader, I'm seeing the following dmesg errors:
[ 1079.259955] mmc0: tuning execution failed: -22
[ 1079.259964] mmc0: error -22 whilst initialising SD card
[ 1082.783993] mmc0: tuning execution failed: -22
[ 1082.784004] mmc0: error -22 whilst initialising SD card
[ 1085.186041] mmc0: tuning execution failed: -22
[ 1085.186047] mmc0: error -22 whilst initialising SD cardAs one can see, these messages pop up every few seconds while the SD card is plugged in.
This is however not the case for every SD card. Her old one works quite well. And the new one works when I boot up my Windows and also with other devices. It seems to be just my Laptop on arch.
I have of course googled the issue but could only find posts for "error -5" or "error -110" and the proposed workaround for one of those (doing "modprobe sdhci debug_quirks2="0x80000000" or other values for debug_quirks2) did not work for me (which I didn't expect because it was actually another error code).
Here is an image of the two cards:
The left one is the new one that's NOT working. The right one works fine.

As you can see, the right one is a bit older so maybe I'm just missing a driver that supports the newer card?
Here's my system information:

// EDIT:
`df -h` and `lsblk -f` give the same output whether or not the card is plugged in.

Your ‘system information’ is useless in this case, as suggested have a read of our COC. The output of df -h or lsblk -f might have given us more relevant info.

Sorry, didn't know what else I could share. Output of `lsblk -f` and `df -h` would not be helpful because it does not change when I plug in the card. Should have mentioned that before...

lspci/lsusb - you've a realtek card reader?
https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/rts5227-dkms/ - I can't speak to the quality of that module, but the internet is full of this problem and patched drivers…
