Minecraft not at 144hz in Arch.

Hi all,
I am having some very strange problems. When I try to run Minecraft, it only runs at 60hz, when I'm getting 500ish FPS in game, and the monitor is set to 144hz.
In /etc/X11/xorg.conf I have this for screen, showing it's in 144hz:

Section "Screen"
    Identifier "Screen0"
    Device "Device0"
    Monitor "Monitor0"
    DefaultDepth 24
    Option "Stereo" "0"
    Option "nvidiaXineramaInfoOrder" "DFP-4"
    Option "metamodes" "2560x1440_144 +0+0 {ForceCompositionPipeline$
    Option "SLI" "Off"
    Option "MultiGPU" "Off"
    Option "BaseMosaic" "off"
    SubSection "Display"
        Depth 24
    EndSubSection

I am using the Nvidia "nvidia-415.22-3" driver. I am using a know good client that will run at 144hz. I am using the java package bundled with the installer.

Here is where it gets really weird:
In 1.13 full screen I am able to run at 144hz, while any other version windowed or full screen I am limited to 60hz. I also tested rocket league, which runs at 144hz.

Thanks,
Trevor
