So basically I figured out that Bumblebee is not a great solution for my ultrabook, so I am using Nvidia-xrun, which works perfectly fine. According to Arch Wiki article, I should be using Intel integrated graphics by default, and whenever I run nvidia-xrun - bbswitch automatically enables Nvidia GPU and after I am done - disables it. So with the functionality everything seems to be fine, but...
If I run startxfce4 from console, it starts under Nvidia graphics rather than Intel (why?). Moreover, after the boot, my Nvidia graphics card is always powered on and I am unable to power it off with bbswitch. I did follow all the instructions on arch wiki, but now I can't use intel graphics with Nvidia powered off.
How do I use Intel graphics with Nvidia GFX powered off?

i had the same issue when i recently switched to nvidia-xrun AFTER i removed bumblebee from my system, so re-installed bumblebee and all was fixed, so i ran pacman -Ql bumblebee to see what files could have fixed this and found "/usr/lib/modprobe.d/bumblebee.conf" which contains:
blacklist nvidia
blacklist nvidia-drm
blacklist nvidia-modeset
blacklist nvidia-uvm
blacklist nouveauso im guessing the wiki has left out the part where you have to blacklist the nvidia card from loading at boot, so ive just left bumblebee installed and all works fine. but i guess just blacklisting those 5 things would work also

It started working by itself, but yeah - it happened after uninstalling bumblebee. So I proactively added this solution to troubleshooting at arch wiki: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Nv … _Bumblebee
Thanks!
