[SOLVED] Can't boot after upgrade (Linux 4.20.0)

Hello!

I'm running Arch on a Chromebook Pixel 2 (2015) and after `pacman -Syu` I'm unable to boot. GRUB loads fine and gives me the option between Arch and my fallback initramfs but they both bring me to the same thing:

```
Warning /lib/modules/4.20.0-arch1-1-ARCH/modules.devname not found - ignoring
ERROR: device 'UUID=...' not found Skipping fsck.
mount: /new_root: can't find UUID=...
You are now being dropped into an emergency shell.
sh: can't access try: job control turned off
[rootfs #]
```

I'm on mobile so I didn't type out the UUID, but it looks fine to me.

My keyboard worked fine in GRUB, but it doesn't work at all at this prompt. I've tried a USB keyboard but it doesn't work either, although I can verify that it *also* works fine in GRUB.

My most recent `pacman -Syu` was just before the reboot, and the one before that couldn't have been more than a week ago. Anyone have any ideas what might be the problem or how I should go about resolving it?

Thanks for the help! Also sorry I've used Markdown above, I don't remember how to use BBCode.

There is a link at the bottom left of every text box.

Your /boot was likely unmounted for the upgrade; from the chroot, reinstall linux.

Moving to NC...

Thanks. My solution looked something like this, after booting to an Arch ISO on an SD card:

mount /dev/sda2 /mnt
arch-chroot /mnt
pacman -S linux
