Hi everyone,
My PC wakes up from suspend when lights turn on in the same circuit. So I googled and found this: https://superuser.com/questions/634465/ … n-the-room.
Then I moved to the Arch wiki: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Po … om_suspend.
I have a surge protector and those are the settings:
cat /proc/acpi/wakeup
Device S-state Status Sysfs node

I Also disabled the option for keyboard and mouse wakeup in the BIOS.
Hopefully I'll have enough money to buy a UPS soon but that's what I said to myself a year ago.
Ideas?
Thanks

They've the same 4 letter code - ask "lspci" for what devices those are.

SATA controller.
02:00.0 SATA controller: Marvell Technology Group Ltd. 88SE9230 PCIe SATA 6Gb/s Controller (rev 11)Offline
But you *had* 03:00.0 enabled…
Of course, if some dirty current leaks in, this could trigger anything.
What btw. happens if you unplug the USB devices and switch the lights?
Also, do you happen to have one of these: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power-line_communication
Is wake-on-lan enabled?

Oops. My mistake.
03:00.0 USB controller: VIA Technologies, Inc. VL80x xHCI USB 3.0 Controller (rev 03)Wake on LAN is off. Disconnecting All the usb is not an option (the PC is in some deep hole).
In the weekend I'll try to remove all the devices from this USB hub. Hopefully this will work.
Is it possible to find a way to target this PXSX?

I'm not aware of isolating a particular device if they share codes, a question would of course be whether shifting the wakeup from the usb to the sdda controller makes any difference.
What you could try was to write "disabled" into /sys/bus/pci/devices/0000:03:00.0/power/wakeup (if that file exists, may also be …/pci_express/…)
Also you might want to elaborate on that "deep hole" thing - and test whether you can reproduce the effect w/ the PC outside that "deep hole"…

That deep hole is not so deep but it is blocked by some books so it'll be much easier in the weekend. By blocked I mean I need to move them to get to the back of the computer. Everything there is connected and OK, I just can't see it clearly.
I used echo to change it to disabled. Will check soon.

Seems working now. To make it permanent: Just create a script that runs at startup and disables all of the USB devices?
(Using the echo cmd, not tempfiles. Writing 2 scripts seems like a bad idea)

For /proc/acpi/wakeup you'll have to run a script, for the /sys/bus/… stuff or single usb devices you can use udev rules, https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ud … USB_device

udev is for specific devices. I'll script it to run after gui is up.
