[SOLVED] deepin-topbar not working

Hi!

I'm trying add a topbar to my Deepin environment, but it just won't start. I got it to start once today by putting its' desktop file in ~/.config/autostart/, but it only appeared in the top left corner with some icons and text stacked on top of each other, and I can't get to any settings menu or anything to configure it (and I haven't found information on what to put in config.conf). It also only worked once for whatever reason ...

I don't know whether this is an Arch problem or Deepin problem, so I figured I'd post here first since I'm already registered here.

Here's what launching it from a terminal gives:

[pauli@Thermaltake ~]$ deepin-topbar
configPath "/home/pauli/.config/deepin/deepin-topbar/config.conf"
create config "/home/pauli/.config/deepin/deepin-topbar/config.conf"
Fontconfig warning: ignoring en_CUSTOM.UTF-8: not a valid region tag
QVariant DBusExtendedAbstractInterface::internalPropGet(const char*, void*) "This Extended DBus interface is not valid yet."
dbus[3505]: arguments to dbus_message_new_method_call() were incorrect, assertion "_dbus_check_is_valid_path (path)" failed in file dbus-message.c line 1366.
This is normally a bug in some application using the D-Bus library.

D-Bus not built with -rdynamic so unable to print a backtrace
Aborted (core dumped)

I don't know which packages are relevant so I could provide versions, I did a pacman -Syu a few minutes ago though, so everything is up to date.
deepin-topbar version is 0.6.2-1. The en_CUSTOM.UTF-8 warning is due to a custom locale I have set up, because I want my environment in English but with Finnish date and time formatting. That's probably not the problem though.

Slight update: I also cloned deepin-topbar from github and built it myself - same result. I also saw that someone had pasted similar output to the deepin-topbar AUR-package, but that page can't be accessed anymore since the package is now in the community repo sad

After even more googling I came across some people having similar dbus-errors, so I tried

printenv DBUS_SESSION_BUS_ADDRESS

which gave the output

unix:path=/run/user/1000/bus

... which is exactly what it's supposed to output, right?

I hope someone can help with this!

I reported this in the project's github issues:

Re: [SOLVED] deepin-topbar not working

I figured out why it didn't work by digging around the code - the particular Dbus-things are only called in NetworkManager related classes, and guess what. I didn't use NetworkManager. So I started that and now the topbar works.
