changed behavior on xfce logout?

I boot my computer into the console, and start xorg (xfce desktop) from the command line as wanted.
I've been accustomed to this behavior on choosing "Log Out" from the xfce logout menu: xorg halts
and I'm back at the command line in the console (but not logged out altogether). That's my preference.

But after a recent update (systemd?) what now happens is that after xorg halts I'm logged out totally:
back at the console there's a new login prompt.

I'd be grateful if anyone can tell me which config file to edit to reinstate the old behavior (assuming
that's possible).

Yeah, it systemd-240

Go back to version 239 and all works well again.  I'm hoping for a fix, or like you said, the proper page to edit to get the desired behavior again.

OK, now fixed with latest systemd update.
