Hello everyone,
I have been using Arch for the past 4 years and it has been an amazing experience. I have recently bought an Asus Vivobook Pro N580VD and I had some troubles with running Arch to its full potential on it, but I have managed to solve more or less all problems, namely: NVIDIA runs very good, fan control is working though NBFC, the laptop needed a custom patched kernel because an nvidia issue and etc.
I really want to share my experience and help other people run Arch on their VivoBook, but I am not completely sure how to write a quality Arch Wiki article about that laptop. Is there some template I should follow or just pick an article for a similar laptop and fill in the details?

Hi cdutsov, currently we don't really have a standard layout for laptop articles, just choose one for example from Category:ASUS as a template and adapt it to your case. Of course the article linked by jbenge1 is a must for new editors, and especially please only write information that is specific to that laptop, and link to any content that is already explained in other generic articles, do not duplicate it in your article.

Thank you for your quick replies! I hope I can make a nice contribution.

Hi cdutsov, did you manage to write the instructions of installation for Asus VivoBook Pro N580V? I'm experiencing exact same issues and help would be more than welcome. I would really like to stay on Arch...
