Broadcom adapter not working with broadcom-wl-dkms

Hello all,

I bought the following usb adapter for network capturing: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/BCM4323 … 24748.html

So the adapter is the BCM43236. When I plug it in without installing a driver I get the following output of

lshw -class network
*-network
      description: Wireless interface
      physical id: 1
      bus info: firewire@1
      logical name: wlan0
      serial: a8:54:b2:1f:ee:62
      capabilities: ethernet physical wireless
      configuration: broadcast=yes driver=brcmfmac driverversion=5.90.188.22 firmware=5.90.188.22 multicast=yes wireless=IEEE 802.11

But when I install the broadcom-wl-dkms driver my device still shows up under lsusb:

Bus 001 Device 004: ID 0a5c:bd17 Broadcom Corp. BCM43236 802.11abgn Wireless Adapter

The device is not showing anymore under lshw or ip a.

I would like to use this usb for monitor mode. but it is not working with the driver and https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/br … nitor_mode is not working as I'm not allowed to write to /proc/brcm_monitor0.

Any help appreciated!
