WiFi stops working frequently

WiFi needs to be turned off and on again for connectivity like every 10-15 minutes.
Here's the output of my hostnamectl :

   Static hostname: he15en6erg
         Icon name: computer-laptop
           Chassis: laptop
        Machine ID: 2eaf288e162a4e26ad9ea78139846410
           Boot ID: 11c69977b5f5412d8cf225b159464767
  Operating System: Arch Linux
            Kernel: Linux 4.14.84-1-lts
      Architecture: x86-64

And, systemctl list-unit-files --state=enabled :

UNIT FILE STATE
autovt@.service enabled
dbus-org.freedesktop.NetworkManager.service enabled
dbus-org.freedesktop.nm-dispatcher.service enabled
display-manager.service enabled
getty@.service enabled
mariadb.service enabled
NetworkManager-dispatcher.service enabled
NetworkManager-wait-online.service enabled
NetworkManager.service enabled
sddm.service enabled
ufw.service enabled
remote-fs.target enabled

12 unit files listed.

Re: WiFi stops working frequently

Hi

Check the make of your hardware via inxi / lspci.

Then check that it is fully supported under Linux or you may need to install the vendor version, provided it is available.

Also you may disable the tlp mode for checking.

Thankyou

Why is your kernel so old? The current lts kernel is 4.19.20-1.

Sometimes it works for hours without problems; sometimes I need to restart the wifi every 30 seconds. What could be the problem ?

02:00.0 Network controller: Intel Corporation Wireless 8260 (rev 3a)

Is there any additional output in the journal when the issue occurs?
Please also post the full output of dmesg.

But I suspect there might be a problem in this part :

Re: WiFi stops working frequently

[ 2443.256637] wlp2s0: disconnect from AP 00:cc:fc:80:32:e0 for new auth to 00:8e:73:72:b3:af

Are the two MAC addresses the different frequencies of the same AP or different devices?

Re: WiFi stops working frequently

Seems like wlp2s0 tries to hop on different frequencies. Followed this.
