Installing arch with secure boot enabled

So a long time ago, I set a password on the BIOS which I have now completely forgotten. I think secure boot is still enabled, so it won't boot from USB. For some reason, I've managed to install Fedora just fine and been using that for a while.

Am I stupid for asking this, or is there a way I can get around it, like replacing all the Fedora files with Arch files, or resetting the BIOS from Fedora?

Laptop is an HP Omen 17

Re: Installing arch with secure boot enabled

You could bootstrap arch from fedora and set up signing of the bootloader/kernel, otherwise contact HP for instructions for how to clear the firmware password.

Re: Installing arch with secure boot enabled

Try to somehow unlock your bios. With arch chances are that you will one day have to use a live usb to solve some issues.
