Polish OOo users - can you help me with a package update?

Someone has flagged openoffice-pl out of date, but it doesn't seem to be. On the ftp server where I get the rpm, the most recent language pack release is still 2.0.2. There is a complete Polish OpenOffice 2.0.3 rpm, but that's not what we need in Arch - we need the language pack, for use with the generic openoffice-base package.
It seems logical to me that if a complete 2.0.3 can be done, a language pack for that version should also be possible, so I was going to contact whoever looks after Polish OOo and ask about it, but maybe the response would be quicker if the question was in Polish? I expect one of the lists here would be the best place to ask, but if anyone has other contacts for this, please feel free to use them.

This version of langpack is the ux version (modified by ux.pl company specializing in oo).

AFAIK there is still no separate langpack package for 2.0.3 version. We should simply wait for 2.0.3 or use some other source.

I took a look at pl ooo localization packages webpage and there is only this one for 2.0.3 version and this one with help files.

I'll post this request on the Polish Arch forums too and maybe someone else will know something more :-)

I don't mind using an RC, as long as users are OK with it. The problem is finding one.

Language pack from previous version (2.0.2) works fine for me with last Open Office (2.0.3).

Thanks, Mefju. I assumed that was the case, as there hadn't been any complaints. OOo-base 2.0.3 has been around for nearly two months now, and I would expect a lot more than an anonymous out-of-date flag if OOo-pl was actually broken for that long.

Just in case this is another langpack link "stolen" from gentoo's ebuild (thanks to raku from pl forum). It's marked as 2.0.3rc7.

Thanks again, lanrat. My inclination is to stay with the 2.0.2 package for the moment, as it is still working, and wait for an official 2.0.3 release to appear. Then again, I'm not actually using it, so I'll leave it up to you. If you want an interim package made from a gentoo tarball, let me know. If I go ahead with it, it won't be in community - I'll just upload it somewhere, and post a link here.

Now, that makes a lot of sense.

I'm sure the users would appreciate a maintainer who speaks their language, and it would be a lot easier for you to communicate upstream, if necessary.
