Hi,
I have built a new system to replace my laptop which had Arch on it, i'm dual booting with Windows 10.
On my laptop i never had an issue with sound, however after reading the wiki and other threads i am still at a loss, basically it looks like Arch is detecting my soundcard but even with the volume unmuted and turned up in Alsamixer there is still no sound.
I have outputted the below commands and hopefully someone can help me.

What are you attempting to use for playback? What are the outputs of
aplay -lL
amixer -c0
sudo fuser -v /dev/snd/*
dmesg | grep sndduring a playback attempt?

Hi,
Here are the outputs below, i have tried playing audio off youtube and through spotify to no avail, i am really unsure about whats going on, alli can think is that the system is not seeing my intel internal sound as the default device /card.

If you are using pulseaudio are your sinks properly defined in e.g. pavucontrol? What are the outputs of
pacmd list-cards
pacmd list-sinks
pacmd list-sink-inputsduring playback.

Ok update. after some further playing around with pavucontrol i have sound working.
The issue that persists though is: i am using my Built in Audio Analog Stereo device for sound, my speakers are plugged into the line out howvcer if you select that port you have no sound, you have to select headphones?? It;s very random, is there a way to easily switch / rename them correctly?

That's probably some wrong declaration in the driver, you could look into retasking your jacks using hdajackretask. However if a simple switch from lineout to headphone is sufficient, it might be easier to simply append
set-sink-port alsa_output.pci-0000_00_1f.3.analog-stereo analog-output-headphonesto the end of your /etc/pulse/default.pa to force pulseaudio to make that switch each time it starts.
