Re: [SOLVED] Conflict error in java updating

There's no jdk package in repos, are you using https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/jdk from AUR ?

Post full command and output please.

Re: [SOLVED] Conflict error in java updating

I am not sure, so here output may help.. - Maybe can remove one of these 2 java??

  java-11-jdk
  java-8-openjdk (default)

Here first part with command (did not want to put here long output..):

Re: [SOLVED] Conflict error in java updating

It looks like you have a conflict between jre and jdk , both from aur.
since jdk requires jre, best option is probably to remove both first .

If you're sure you can't use openjdk 11 but need oracle's version :
build & install jre first , then build & install jdk.

While your problem doesn't look like it was caused by yay, imo using jay made it harder for you to see what went wrong.
I recommend you stick to pacman and manual builds using makepkg until you understand better what happens.

Re: [SOLVED] Conflict error in java updating

After removing java-11-jdk, reinstall it and changing defualt java to java-11-jdk, system updating run ok with no errors.
At the moment, looklike everything ok - If will be similar error in the next time, I will try to use pacman instead of yay, in order to find out the problem..
Thanks
