where command showing erroneous directories

Hi Guys,

Been struggling with this one for quite awhile, the problem is I do not know how to ask the right questions so I will just lay out the problem here.

.zshrc snippet

# Variables
    #------------------------------
    export JAVA_HOME=/usr/lib/jvm/java-8-openjdk/
    export ANDROID_SDK=/opt/android-sdk
    export GRADLE_HOME=~/.gradle
    export ANDROID_AVD_HOME=$HOME/.android/avd/

    typeset -U path
    path=($ANDROID_SDK/emulator $JAVA_HOME/bin $ANDROID_SDK/tools/bin $path)

output:

% where emulator
    /opt/android-sdk/emulator/emulator
/opt/android-sdk//emulator/emulator <-- this directory seems to be an error
    /opt/android-sdk/tools/emulator

How do I go about fixing this?  I do understand that the emulator is working cause it is just using the first directory, however I would like to understand why there is an erroneous directory being listed.

If there is any other information you require please let me know and  I will try get back to this post as soon as possible.

Regards,

James

Re: where command showing erroneous directories

Hello there,

Out of curiosity, is this a vanilla zsh, eg don't have omz installed?

Re: where command showing erroneous directories

As a start, /etc/profile.d/android-emulator.sh already exports that path, so there is no need to export it again yourself.

However, neither the profile snippet nor your entry would cause that double `//` between `/opt/android-sdk` and `emulator/emulator`, so it's a bit weird…

What does your $PATH look like?
