After I installed Nvidia drivers and rebooted my computer, my second screen would stay black. I've tried to blacklist nouveau, update grub and reboot, but that did not fix it. I figured it probably has something to do with my configuration files, but i'm not entirely sure what needs to be changed.
The 2 monitors show up with lspci, but not on my display settings with GNOME.
This is my xorg.conf file

00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 2nd Generation Core Processor Family Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 09)
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation GK104 [GeForce GTX 770] (rev a1) I hope this is enough info to fix the issue. I haven't been able to find the problem and fix it myself. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum.
Those are not "Monitors" but VGA devices ("graphics cards") to which each a random amount of outputs ("monitors") may or not be attached.
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/NVIDIA_Optimus
Also gnome is probably running a wayland session on the intel IGP and in that case you cannot use the nvidia driven GPU (nor any output attached to it)
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/GD … rg_backend
and select a "gnome on xorg session", reading up the optimus page is still mandatory and nvidia-xconfig generated conf files will fail for pretty much sure w/ this kind of setup
