/.mplayer file contents typical

 

     A listing of typical file listing for /.mplayer in  .../root files would be helpful for me in resolving....no audio ... in mplayer.

     Anyone have such??

no audio ... in mplayer.

It`s the same problem as in this post:
http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?p=13697#13697

Just type

modprobe snd-pcm-oss

and everythink worked for me...

The arch-packages are compiled without alsa-support. There was a thread some months ago about changing this to alsa by default but nothing happend...
So you have to emulate in 2.6 the old oss sound with this alsa-driver.

    Thanks for the info.  It turned on audio in root...

     I have a new problem...no internet and a message saying  try "network Start"

     How is that done? :?:  :?:
