How to change the ulimit -l (max locked memory} value ?

i am new to using arch linux ,my main concern is producing audio with help of ardour 5.12 that comes with pro-audio package.

but when i start it i get the message of ulimit -l and telling to change the value of /etc/security/limits.conf.

this message doesnt cause any issues but as soon as i try to use 10 or more zynfusion plugins and some effects  the ardour crashes. that is the problem cause by the said message is my conclusion. am i right? is there anyother reason for that?

As i have done setting mentioned in pro-audio arch wiki page of vm.swappiness=10 the said file for that change i.e.90-swappiness.conf was not there so i created a new one . and also my /etc/security/limits.conf doesnt have anything in it only the file that i created.

is it problematic or do i have change the system completely to things to work?

what i have

What is the current contents of /etc/security/limits.conf ?  The original file as supplied by the pam package was fully commented out providing settings examples.

yes its fully commented out.its like this . what should i change in this.i have tried to add wheel group and user nahush to the last line without commenting it.but it didnt change anything.

After making the said changes i did logout and login back and i did turn off the laptop completely ,but i didnt saw changing the value of ulimit -l in both cases of logging off and switching off  ,it still says 64.so i changed it back to original file.

the original file:-

domain>               <type>        <item>         <value>
#

#*                            soft          core                      0
#*                            hard         rss                    10000
#@student              hard         nproc                   20
#@faculty               soft          nproc                   20
#@faculty               hard         nproc                   50
#ftp                         hard         nproc                   0
#@student                 -         maxlogins              4

My changes

domain>               <type>        <item>         <value>

#*                            soft          core                      0

Re: How to change the ulimit -l (max locked memory} value ?

@wheel                               memlock       unlimited
nahush memlock unlimited

Both those entries only provide three fields instead of the expected four use - for the type filed.
Please use code tags for commands and their outputs.
