Vimwiki and instant-markdown-d

Hi im having some issues getting instant-markdown-d to work (live preview of vimwiki)

Whenever i open up vimwiki, a new tab opens up the only issue i have atm all it shows is a blank rectangular black shape.
My vimwiki index.md only consist of a few lines of text:

# Todo list
this is some text for testing
# Get this working:
Instant markdown (<-link to another page)

The thing i find kinda weird is that if i type a command in the terminal it opens up localhost:8090 and the text renders:

 echo "123asd" | instant-markdown-d

But it says in the cli:
Option log level is not valid. Please refer to the README. (<--- Cant find ANYTHING about option log level in the readme.......)
connection established!

It even updates if i do:

 echo "asdasdasdasd" | curl -X PUT -T - http://localhost:8090/

But whenever i open my vimwiki all i get is a blank rectangular square with black edges....

Do i need a special version of vim to run this?
I am using nvim, could that be an issue?
I followed the README on github from a-z basicly, so im kinda lost here.

If there are better alternatives to render the vimwiki into html code and previewing it in the browser, then im all ears smile
