EPG Data Corruption: DVB-T2 (UK)

I have tried Geniatech and August USB DVB-T2 tuners (both use the same tuner), and they have both displayed corrupted programme titles for T2 (HD) transmissions in the UK. DVB-T EPGs are displayed correctly. It would appear that the broadcasters are using compression techniques on the T2 EPG data, and this is not being correctly decoded.

The problem does not seem to apply to TVs, set-top boxes, etc.

I would be interested to know whether this problem applies to all such USB devices, or is limited to those using specific tuners/chipsets. I would also be interested to hear of any "workarounds", and any other information on this topic.
