Hi guys, I'm having a little bit of trouble and I'm not much of one of asking for help until I reach a dead end.
I'm currently running 5.0.0-arch1-1-ARCH with lightdm and xfce on my company's work laptop (a lenovo y720 which comes with both a 1060 nvidia discrete gpu and a integrated gpu from intel)
My problem is that using
▲ ~ lspci -k | grep -EA3 'VGA|3D|Display'
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation HD Graphics 630 (rev 04)
Subsystem: Lenovo HD Graphics 630
Kernel driver in use: i915
Kernel modules: i915
△ ~ lspci -k | grep -A 2 -E "(VGA|3D)"
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation HD Graphics 630 (rev 04)
Subsystem: Lenovo HD Graphics 630
Kernel driver in use: i915
▲ ~ xrandr --listproviders
Providers: number : 1
Provider 0: id: 0x43 cap: 0xf, Source Output, Sink Output, Source Offload, Sink Offload crtcs: 3 outputs: 1 associated providers: 0 name:modesetting
Full lspci output here
Full lsmod output here
Doesn't show the nvidia controller, nor xrandr has it as a provider. The only time I managed to make it show up was when I blacklisted nouveau, which also for some reason isn't working as intended anymore since I still have nouveau blacklisted both with refind stub and modprobe and it still loads it thus not showing the nvidia gpu.
I really need to get it working since the HDMI output only works if the nvidia gpu is propperly configured, and I need to setup an external monitor.
Could anyone give me some pointers on what could be going on?
