xorg update?

Are there any plans to update xorg in current? It's very outdated now, and I really use new xf86-video-ati, xf86-video-mga and xf86-video-i810. And it would be nice to have new xserver.

Re: xorg update?

This thread is redundant...

At any rate, the relevant packages are almost all flagged out of date. I guess it will make an appearance in Testing sometime next week.

Just be warned, there are some bugs, and X may lock up when they rear their ugly heads.

Re: xorg update?

I am aware of state of this code. I usualy use CVS/git version of xorg, now I can finally use binary packages from my distro.

...and there is a new version of Evil nVidia Driver, so I hope there is nothing more which stops us from switching to xorg 7.1.
