[SOLVED] Can't set native resolution on multihead setup in KDE.

I have a screen plugged in HDMI at 1920x1080.

A second screen in plugged into the DVI port using a VGA to DVI-I adapter because this screen only has a VGA port.

It's supposed to have a native resolution of 1600x900 but a max resolution of 1024x768 is being reported. However, this is not correct because setting the resolution of 1024x768 causes the screen to display "out of range". Currently, I'm using it at 800x600 which is within range.

I tried on a windows PC and it's able to set the native resolution just fine.

I tried creating a custom CVT modeline and used xrandr to set it but it causes 1/4 of the screen become unusable.

How can I achieve native resolution?

I understand you you saw https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Xr … esolutions ?

"causes 1/4 of the screen become unusable" can you elaborate that of post an image or so (only a link or thumbnail here, please)?
Did the windows PC include the same adapter?

I managed to fixed it by deleting kscreen configs in .local/share/kscreen and then letting the screen auto adjust itself after setting the 1600x900 resolution via xrandr.
