Pulseaudio issue; video and audio playback are sped up

I'm running into an issue with what I believe to be pulse where the video and audio playback is ultra fast. I have checked the wiki (https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Pu … leshooting) and followed the following steps for troubleshooting the issue I've been having:

Glitches, skips or crackling

Timer-based scheduling may expose issues in some ALSA drivers. On the other hand, other drivers might be glitchy without it on, so check to see what works on your system.

To turn timer-based scheduling off add tsched=0 in /etc/pulse/default.pa:

/etc/pulse/default.pa
load-module module-udev-detect tsched=0

Then restart the PulseAudio server:

$ pulseaudio -k
$ pulseaudio --start

Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to solve my problem. I am using HDMI audio through my Radeon RX580.

However, when I use my USB headphones, audio and video playback is normal.

Where should I begin looking for an answer? Could this be an issue with my GPU drivers? Or is this issue likely to be within Pulse's profile?

Re: Pulseaudio issue; video and audio playback are sped up

A bit late to the party, but I've had the same issue since I got the RX 580.

I *did* manage to solve this by messing with pulseaudio configs, but I've since lost my changes, did you end up figuring it out?

EDIT: So apparently I merely worked around it on accident last time, this happens on 4K@60Hz, but not on 1080p@60Hz. Not sure about a proper fix.
