Upgrading linux kernel causes a black screen

Hi all,

The latest linux kernel which works for me is linux-4.19.11. After upgrading to linux-5.0.2, the login screen does not show and there is only a black screen. I also tried linux-4.20.1, but issue was the same.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Which of the recent black screen threads on these forums have you already looked through and tried solutions from?
