When i try 'move to trash' in a tmpfs folder in Thunar it shows the warning message for 'permanent delete' instead (and does so indeed when you confirm). Other folders (on ext4) do work properly. Files get moved instantly to trash without warning. Bug occurs probably since around kernel 5.0.
Any ideas what's wrong here?
I have this is my fstab to limit tmpfs size. Using this for months/years though without problems. Not sure if relevant.
tmpfs /tmp tmpfs nodev,nosuid,size=14G 0 0

This happens to me too.
In Nautilus, there is no 'Move to Trash' option.
Programmatically, I get the following message:
gi.repository.GLib.GError: g-io-error-quark: Trashing on system internal mounts is not supported (15)

XFCE has partially fixed it though. There are two separate context menu entries now on ext4 ('move to trash' and 'delete') and it properly shows a confirmation prompt before any delete action (that was not the case on tmpfs if i reckon correctly - that was quite dangerous/unexpected). There is still no 'move to trash' on tmpfs though. Looks like this is not an XFCE-only problem.
