adobe fonts required in gsettings-desktop-schemas package

Just wondering... is it possible that the "adobe-source-code-pro-fonts" could be made optional dependencies in the gsettings-desktop-schemas package rather than required, or is this some upstream thing?  I try to keep all adobe products off my systems.  Thanks for any info on the latest upgrade.
