Latest upgrade messes with colors and gnome

On 17-03 I upgraded the system via pacman -Syu.
The upgraded packages  that i had to eventually downgrade via the archlinux archive method are:

owngrading adobe-source-code-pro-fonts...
downgrading gsettings-desktop-schemas...
downgrading gnome-clocks...
downgrading gnome-online-miners...
downgrading mutter...
downgrading gnome-shell...
downgrading gnome-weather...
downgrading qt5-base...
downgrading qt5-svg...
downgrading qt5-x11extras...
downgrading yelp-xsl...

I am not an expert at what happened but after the initial upgrade:

1) the colors of the icons in nautilus became lighter and hazy.
2)The colors of the terminal (ls,grep etc) also became kind of not vivid not pronounced.
3)The gnome-addons dissappeared from the software-center.
4)The settings menu of the terminal changed layout.
5)The whole color scheme of the entire desktop exudes a kind of haziness.
Its DISGUSTING.
Downgrading didnt help either.
The new unfortunate appearance persisted.

Please Kindly advice.............
With gratitude,
Best Regards,
Andreas

Have you looked at any of the myriad of other threads about this?
