I usually update about weekly so I'm a little out of date but this problem has been around for several months.
From time to time (and I can't decipher any pattern) an application will not respond to or echo what I type at the keyboard.
Mostly I notice it in a terminal (xfce4-terminal but also guake) and SpaceFm file manager.
XFCE: 4.12
xfwm4: 4.12.5-1
libxfce4: 4.13
spacefm: 1.0.6-1
I've discovered over time a workaround is to open a new terminal tab and when I do that I see the keystrokes I've made already echoes there.
It's as if something is queuing up the keyboard input but the initial terminal pane isn't receiving/displaying it.
It won't even respond to CTRL-D which I usually use to close a terminal.
When a new tab is opened, that has already received the queued up keystrokes and they are displayed.
If I now press CRL-D the new tab closes and the original tab will respond to the keyboard again.
Sometimes it requires third tab.
In SpaceFM trying to create a new file or rename a file always displays the appropriate dialog box, but sometimes doesn't respons to keyboard input.
I have no idea what could be causing this nor how to diagnose the problem.
I'm not even sure what information I can provide to help others track down the problem.
Any ideas?
