Hello!
I have recently switched to XFCE and installed LightDM as my display manager. I have then chosen a greeter (at first webkit2) and installed light-locker to enable locking the screen. This last feature however does not work correctly. After unlocking the screen the resolution of the greeter is wrong (certainly not the one I am using nor the one used after boot) and after inserting the password and logging in the screen goes black and never enters the DE. I need to switch tty and restart LightDM in order to fix it (but then my session is lost).
I tried changing the locker and the greeter, but the problem occurs regardless. I also found out that locking the screen or even switching to the greeter using dm-tools results in same behavior.
I can provide any log file you need, but please tell me which to send - I have no idea which od them would be of any use.

The lightdm log and the greeter log in /var/log/lightdm would be a good place to start.

I have a similar issue. Upon locking, my screen resolution goes to 4K instead of the preferred 1080p. Do you have a display setup script in your lightdm.conf? Also, do you have hybrid graphics?
I don't pretend to know much, and know what I don't know

Well, I turned out uninstalling XFCE and switching to Cinnamon, which solved the problem, therefore I can't send you my configuration script. However I was using a desktop PC.
