Re: What do you use to read/write eMails under Arch?

I use Kontact (because I use KDE and wanted something that integrated and did my PIM as well).  All my email does through fetchmail, then procmail to maildir, and I use courier-imap to access it.  This gives me the option of using Squirral Mail to read my emails when I'm away from the desktop as well, which is pretty sweet.  I also use googlemail if my desktop is off, and the web interface my uni provide.

All in all, I have options smile

Laptop: Intel Pentium M, 512MB PC2700, 60GB IBM TravelStar, Nvidia 5200Go 64MB

It's still true, it's hard to compare anything to the sheer power and flexibility of mutt.

Re: What do you use to read/write eMails under Arch?

I use four email clients on a fairly regular basis. Outlook at work. Pine at uni (I still have an account at my department). Thunderbird on my windows partition. KMail on my Linux partition.

I personally prefer KMail the most. Of course, if I wasn't a KDE user as well then I may not be so drawn to it.

I also blogged about KMail a little while ago: http://blog.andy-roberts.net/2006/05/06 … underbird/

Kmail. I mostly use KDE and it is so well integrated into that environment I would be at odds of how to use another client and still get that degree of functionality. However, I will say that I still love M2 and will occasionally use it for certain types of correspondence.

I've been using Thunderbird since it was first released. I'm just happy with it's junk mail controls, and I think it's a solid client.

Re: What do you use to read/write eMails under Arch?

Wow, I would not have imagined that Evolution has that few users. Or perhaps Evolution-Users just do not like to take polls, who knows? wink Well, for me it is muttng with msmtp because I think that you should not be forced into using X11 for just reading your mail. Apart from that, Thunderbird, KMail, Evolution and Sylpheed are GREAT applications. Linux-User must be the happiest Mailers in the world.
