Hi guys
I want to dual boot arch and windows.
I'm currently running arch from a USB and when i run cfdisk it shows me the following 4 partitions that windows already created:
Windows recovery environment (499M)
EFI system (100M),
Microsoft reserved (16M),
Windows basic data (137G).
I assume 'windows basic data' is the actual file system, 'EFI system' is the bootloader and 'windows recovery environment' is some kind of fail-safe in case the bootloader fails.
I'm just wondering if i'm supposed to delete the 'EFI system' and 'windows recovery partitions' in order to make space to the grub bootloader?
Or am i supposed to make a new partition for that and leave the 'EFI system' and 'windows recovery environment' partitions?

Don't delete any of them unless you want to get rid of windows. Don't create a new EFI partition - just use the one that's already there. All OSs on a system should share the same EFI partition.
This is all well covered in the wiki, please read it:
