[SOLVED] Computer shuts down when installing various packages

I've had the issue with various packages where while installing, the computer will completely shut off. No shutdown screen or anything, just as though it was unplugged completely. It's happened with packages from both the official sources as well as packages from the AUR and I can reliably reproduce the issue by attempting to install dxvk-winelib-git from the AUR.

Motherboards with amd processors tend to run better with IOMMU activated, unless they run 32-bit OSes

I can reliably reproduce the issue by attempting to install dxvk-winelib-git from the AUR

Does the temperature of the cpu / system increase before the shutdown occurs ?

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky

Thank you for your help! I activated IOMMU and set up early microcode loading, and then tried monitoring the temps as I tried installing the package. It died with CPU temps at ~65. So well within the acceptable range. However I did notice that

sensors

was yelling at me about the voltages. When I built this PC back in 2012 it was a gaming rig and I knew nothing about overclocking so I just followed guides and tried to get it as stable as possible. I disabled any overclocking and I was able to successfully install the package. I never would have thought to check my BIOS, I thought it was a hardware failure.
