So a few days ago I posted about how to disable IPV6 because I thought it was slowing my internet. I have finally gotten that to work and it hasn't helped as my internet connection is much slower than on Debian based distros (My windows install is currently broken so I can't test with that right now). I have also tried Manjaro and I get the same speeds as I do on Arch so I guess it has something to do with arch.
So here is some information I saw being asked for on some other forum posts:

Post the output of :
ip link
cat /sys/class/net/eno1/duplex
cat /sys/class/net/eno1/speed
The above assume your NIC's name is eno1. Modify those commands as necessary with your NIC's name as reported by ip link

@ewaller I saw that could be a problem on another post and I made sure that it was it was on full and 1000. I did try turn auto-negotiation (I think it was called that) on and off. I got better performance when it was on, I don't know if that's helpful though.

It's supposed to be no longer "1" but there's another recent thread pointing to this being the cause, so try to explicitly set it to "0":
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ne … tification

https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/ke … gain.patch mentions performance
Edit:
https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/ke … -rtl.patch mentions latency.
Does slow mean lower throughput or increased latency or both in this case?

@Head_on_a_Stick how would I go about installing the old driver the aur link doen't have the normal git clone link? I haven't come across this before.
Offline
@loqs slow means low throughput means as in 25ish Mbps rather than 80Mbps, the ping is also a little high 5-15 ms worse, which I think is basically nothing.

It's not an AUR link, the package is in [community] ![]()
