hi all,
i am writing because I am struggling with the quality of video playing with my machine.
I have a desktop I usually use for personal image and video processing (archlinux, ryzen 2700x, 32GB ram, GTX1060 6GB.
I do not have any specific issue with my configuration.
However, I noticed that ANY video played on my linux machine is somehow scattering.
More in details, I use VLC (but this happens with ANY player) and if I put the video at full resolution, I see some scattering.
this does NOT happen with the windows version of VLC.
Is there any particular reason for that? can I check something to understand what to do?
Thanks

You say it happens with any player, but can you give at least a couple examples of players other than VLC that show the problem (i.e., what have you tried).
What video driver and configuration are you using?
"UNIX is simple and coherent" - Dennis Ritchie; "GNU's Not Unix" - Richard Stallman

Hello,
I am using nvidia drivers. here you can find a sample video.
Using a small window i do not see any issue, but making fullscreen it starts scuttering, and looking at the left part of the video, i see some lines (like the system is not able to render the video) when the camera moves.
It is recorded at 1920x1080 24fps
I tried also mpv and mplayer
I am sure the issue is not in the camera, since it happens with any (the linked one is done using nikon d800 but happens with smartphone too) and because windows does not have the same problem.
Which info can i provide more?
Thanks
