Samba and Thunar: The target is write protected

Hi,

I can't copy files via Thunar from my linux machine to a samba share.

I am running a Samba Server using a Samba configuration file:

[global]
workgroup = MT RASPI
server string = Samba Server
server role = standalone server
log file = /var/log/samba/log.%m
max log size = 50

[homes]
comment = Home Directories
browseable = no
writable = yes

The service is running and works fine. The config file gives no syntax errors.

I am accessing the Share on another (Arch) Linux machine in Thunar. I did this by typing the smb url like this: smb://alarmpi/alarm/

Everything worked fine - I was asked for a username + password and the share is accessible via Thunar. I can add/delete/write files on the Samba share (the user's home directory).

The problem is that I can't copy files from my machine to the samba share (using Thunar). I always get the message: "Target is write protected". I already tried changing permissions to 777 but this does not seem to be the problem, because I CAN WRITE. I can even write with Thunar (folders, text files...). I just can't copy files from my machine to the samba share.

Anyone ones what's wrong here?
