[SOLVED] Gnome Activities Configurator Error

The Activities Configurator extension works fine but sometimes I want to switch off my monitor for a while. The trouble is, when I switch it on again I get this error without fail - it's not time-related because it happens even if I switch off and on again within a few seconds. The 'close' button is not functional so the only way to get rid of the error is to restart the Gnome desktop. It's very annoying.

The wording of the error seems to imply that it's an Arch-centric issue - "The global enable-hot-corners setting is not found in this linux distro". I have indeed used the extension on Ubuntu with the same hardware for ages without any problems. I've tried disabling all other extensions so ACE is the only one running and I also reinstalled the extension but still no dice. Any suggestions?

UPDATE: Activities Configurator has just received an update which seems to have fixed the issue.
