Unable to decrypt disk at boot after update (Partially Solved)

I'm fairly new to Arch, but not to Linux. I ran a system upgrade "pacman -Syu" yesterday. Once I rebooted, I was unable to unlock my disk even though the passphrase I typed was correct. The keyboard seems to be working, it i registering the ENTER keypress, and after I press ENTER, I can type keys and they are all correctly recognized.

My machine is a Lenovo X1 Extreme laptop. I'm running full disk encryption. I was able to get logged in by booting into the install image, opening the disk, mounting, chrooting, and then changing the order of the hooks in "/etc/mkinitcpio.conf" so that keyboard is after udev and regenerating the initrd. Here is my current HOOKS config

HOOKS=(base udev keyboard consolefont autodetect modconf block encrypt lvm2 filesystems fsck)

This change seems to fix the issue and I could log in normally after this.
I'm not sure what package caused this issue, and I'm not sure if and how I should submit a bug report. I wanted to post it here in the event someone else has the same issue.
