Run non steam games with proton

Hi guys.
I'm trying to run a game that i have not on steam by following these steps:
1 - games -> add non steam game to library
2 - select the .EXE of the game
3 - force the use of a specific steam play compatibility tool -> proton
4 - Disabled steam overlay

When i try to launch the game the following window appears: Image
if i close this window, it reappears, the only way to close it it's to shut down steam.

You may have better luck with lutris.
