How to get Firefox to use Mplayerplugin instead of Flash

Hi,
I'm using Firefox 2.0a1 (from one of the guys repos I think). Some of the sites I visit have upgraded to a newer version of Flashplayer that doesn't work with our latest flash plugin.  What do I have to do to force it to use mplayer instead??

the only solution is to get the UnPlug firefox extension (or something similar) to find the flash video file, which you can download and play with mplayer.

it would be nice if there were an extension that would do this automatically with mplayer plugin!
