[Solved] Trying to link Documents directory to another partition

I am using arch with gnome 3.32.

I am trying to link the /home/myname/Documents directory to /data/Documents using ln -s

I first need to delete the Documents directory, however as soon as I rmdir it reappears.

Any ideas why? Tried googling.....

Sorry - a while ago had installed deepin file manager which was running in background . This was the culprit.
