SCSI detection on VMWare

Hi,

I have an SCSI drive mounted on a VMWare host. Unfortunately I can't seem to detect it.

From lspci -v:

00:10.0 SCSI storage controller: Broadcom / LSI 53c1030 PCI-X Fusion-MPT Dual Ultra320 SCSI (rev 01)
Subsystem: VMware LSI Logic Parallel SCSI Controller
Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 64, IRQ 17
	I/O ports at 1400 [size=256]
	Memory at feba0000 (64-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=128K]
	Memory at febc0000 (64-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=128K]
[virtual] Expansion ROM at 80008000 [disabled] [size=16K]
	Capabilities: [f8] PCI Advanced Features
	Kernel driver in use: mptspi
	Kernel modules: mptspi

lsblk:

NAME MAJ:MIN RM SIZE RO TYPE MOUNTPOINT
sda 8:0 0 200G 0 disk
|-sda1 8:1 0 100M 0 part /boot
`-sda2 8:2 0 199.9G 0 part /
sr0 11:0 1 609M 0 rom

df -h

tmpfs 996M 0 996M 0% /sys/fs/cgroup
tmpfs 996M 0 996M 0% /tmp
/dev/sda1 93M 56M 31M 65% /boot
tmpfs 200M 0 200M 0% /run/user/0

mkinitcpio.conf

# MODULES
# The following modules are loaded before any boot hooks are
# run. Advanced users may wish to specify all system modules
# in this array. For instance:
# MODULES=(piix ide_disk reiserfs)
MODULES=(mptscsih)

As far as I know VMWare controlled SCSI should show up as /dev/sgX, but not seeing any of that...
I can't seem to find instructions or a driver anywhere, any help?

Re: SCSI detection on VMWare

That could be anything from the hardware / driver compatibility for Arch to the way that VMWare has been setup.  If its the latter we can't do much to help you here.

Could you provide more information on how it is set up ? Can other systems on the host see the drive?
