KDE Stuck on Black Screen With Cursor After Login

Hi!
I recently installed Arch Linux.
For my desktop environment, I installed 'plasma-meta'. And display manager is 'sddm'.

The problem is, after logging in KDE is just stuck on a black screen and a cursor. I can move the cursor though.

I have also installed xfce4 which works just fine. The problem only occurs with KDE.

What I have tried so far?
Remove .config, .local and .cache directory.
Uninstalled and reinstalled Xorg, sddm, plasma.
Created new user and logged in with that.

Still same issue persists.

I have the same problem .. xfce4 worked well with lightdm, but when i removed xfce4 and installed plasma and sddm instead of lightdm .. i get a login screen but as shown in the screenshots you added, I get a black empty screen , it can run terminal and any other application than can be run from terminal , but no desktop, no nothing.

I will try setting the XDG_RUNTIME_DIR and post what I get here. thanks.
BTW: plasmashell was unrecognized command before . dk what changed

It worked. I just set the timezone and everything is working just fine. Thanks a lot. but it's actually weird that if timezone is not set, all the DE crashes.
