I am running Arch on a Thinkpad E485. Every now and then (seemingly randomly, I haven't found any correlation) I find that the touchpad suddenly stops working; however, I can still use the trackpoint to move the mouse. Anywhere from a couple seconds to a minutes later, it just starts working again. During this time, keyboard input also starts acting glitchy - sometimes keys don't register, sometimes they end up getting inputted in the wrong order, and sometimes a character keeps getting inputted even when I let go of the key! I am fairly sure it is a software glitch as I have so far not come across this problem when dual booting Windows 10. It is still present after (numerous) reboots and pacman updates, including those of the kernel.
